“A Shot of Faith (to the
Head): Be a Confident Believer in an Age of Cranky Atheists" by Mitch Stokes is a pretty good book. Oh!
Before I forget! Let me explain: I got this book for free from the Thomas
Nelson Publishing Company through the booksneeze bloggers programme in exchange
for an honest review. I am under no obligation to give this book an positive
review, so everything you see here is completely my own opinion. So. That being
said, moving on. Anyway, I got this book because the tag line, “Be a Confident Believer
in an Age of Cranky Atheists,” made me giggle. I had never heard of the word ‘cranky’
being included in a non-fiction book title. It caught my attention. In
addition, I love apologetics, so I figured that I would like this book.
And
I ordered, read it, and realized that I did like this book. If you enjoy
defending your faith, then you will most likely love “A Shot of Faith (to the
Head).” It makes you think. I enjoy it. I give it four out of five stars,
simply because it does have an obnoxious title: most atheists don’t enjoy being
called cranky. It makes them… cranky.
